It is has come to our notice that rumors are in circulation within the two campuses that students are to vacate within the 24-hour period.
As far as SUG is concerned, its leadership has not received any official notification from the university management regarding the issue in question.
In a related development, we are using this medium to notify students that our meeting with the ASUU ATBU chapter, pleading with them to look into the plight of students and devise a means of allowing students to finish their examination, has not yet come to fruition as we are still awaiting feedback from them.
However, we have gathered that the national assembly is putting in place efforts to address the issue which, if not addressed timely, will take a heavy toll on the country’s education system.
It is, therefore, in view of the foregoing that the leadership of SUG is reaffirming its efforts to keeping students abreast of any latest development.
As regards to students’ vacating the campus or not, we are advising students to remain playful and make necessary and prudent decision as to whether or not to take their leave.
